Program Description:
Due to the prevalence of substance use and misinformation about treatment in NH, it is imperative that all clinicians have accurate, up to date information about the current trends in substance use and treatment protocols. This workshop will provide attendees with basic to intermediate level training to gain valuable knowledge regarding the prevalence of Substance Use and Co-Occurring Disorders, as well as common challenges to treatment. Finally, the presenter will demonstrate how to incorporate Evidence-based Practices that support improved outcomes.

Level of Instruction:
Introductory

Learning Objectives:
1.     Describe current substance use trends in NH
2.     Compare and contrast both NH and National Substance Use Disorder         (SUD) trends
3.     Discuss the prevalence of Co-Occurring Disorders in NH and nationally
4.     List at least three Evidence-based Treatment Interventions to treat both SUD and Co-Occurring Mental Health Disorders
