Program Description:
For more than 60 years, local, non-profit community mental health centers have been the foundation of a critical, though sometimes not fully understood, system of care in New Hampshire. There have, however, been many changes in recent years including the addition of “Rapid Response,” a crisis response system that is available to all NH citizens and grounded in person-centered and recovery-oriented models of care. This workshop will describe the clinical models that Rapid Response is based on and explain how it operates within the NH system of care. Most importantly, information will be shared that all healthcare providers should understand about accessing the Rapid Response system, what to expect during a response, and how to obtain more information.
Level of Instruction:
Introductory
Learning Objectives:
1. Define the three pillars of the crisis response system and the distinct value and intent of each pillar
2. Describe the current structure of NH’s service delivery system, including how it relates to each of the three pillars of the crisis response system
3. Differentiate between the various crisis response entry points (e.g. 211, 988, RRAP) and demonstrate ability to use this information to refer others for support if needed
