Adding Teletherapy To Your Practice: Setting It Up, Managing Risk, And Working With Insurance
Telebehavioral Health is a hot topic right now. NHPA sponsored a very well received workshop on Saturday, September 15th at Rivier University.
Dr. Jennifer Warkentin covered many aspects of setting up and maintaining a Teletherapy practice. She addressed the risks associated with this type of practice, relevant practice guidelines, interjurisdictional licensing concerns, health plan coverage, and payment issues.
This workshop seemed like the perfect opportunity for NHPA to branch out into offering CEs remotely. Jena Mottola, NHPA’s Executive Director, spearheaded the effort and the results were excellent. We had two registrants comfortably attend the workshop from their homes. Both reported that their experience was positive and they are excited that NHPA will be live-streaming all future events.
Our next CE offering will be Saturday, October 13th at Granite State College in Concord, NH. Dr. Teresa Johnson will be presenting Trans-Affirmative Care: Providing Compassionate & Competent Therapy To Transgender Clients. Join us in Concord or register for the live stream. More information is here.
